Corey Davis shed 10-15 pounds this offseason, improved speed and stamina

Corey Davis got off to a great start with the Jets last year, catching five passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns. But after that point, he played just eight more games, scored two more touchdowns and finished the year with only 492 yards on 34 receptions.

Injuries have plagued him throughout his career since being a first-round pick in 2017, but he’s trying to bounce back and stay healthy this season. During the offseason, he did a ton of running and conditioning, which caused him to drop 10-15 pounds.

Davis now weighs 205 and feels faster with better stamina.

Davis is a key member of the Jets’ talented receiving corps, which features second-year stud Elijah Moore and rookie Garrett Wilson. With those three, as well as Braxton Berrios in the fold, Zach Wilson will have no shortage of weapons on the outside.

It’s just a matter of everyone staying healthy, which Davis hopes to do this year.
