Conor McGregor shows off cast on left hand, says he suffered sparring injury

Conor McGregor has been arrested, “retired,” “unretired” and made a lot of noise since we’ve last seen him in the Octagon.

But he’s hinted at fights on numerous occasions since he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov more than six months ago and apparently injured his left hand recently while keeping in fighting shape.

McGregor shows off injured hand

McGregor posted an Instagram image Friday of himself with his left hand and wrist wrapped in a cast.

He didn’t explain the injury, but did boast about intense sparring sessions.

ESPN reported sources told them the injury isn’t serious while declining to explain what the injury is or if it requires surgery.

Nothing on the docket for McGregor

McGregor hasn’t come to terms with UFC on a new deal due to hangups involving the sport’s new pay-per-view landscape under its deal with ESPN+, according to ESPN.

He doesn’t have any fights scheduled or any known firm prospects.

Until he does, we’re not making much out of his vague injury.
