BBC Sport's chief football writer Phil McNulty has been taking your questions on the Premier League and those players on international duty.

Paul asked: For about two years I've been having a debate with some friends over Phil Foden. I'm saying he is overrated. He fits perfectly into Manchester City's low-risk, possession-based style of play. His lack of real creativity and ability to beat a defender shone through against Brazil. Would you say he is at the same level as players like Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior? Obviously, I wouldn't!

Phil replied: Not sure he is quite at the level of Bellingham and Vinicius, but he is not far behind.

Foden is a complete class act. He has to start for England at Euro 2024. Overrated? Not in my opinion.

The problem is working out how to best utilise him as it looks like he will have to play from wide left at the Euros because the team, quite rightly, is built around Bellingham in that area. He simply could not get involved enough against Brazil and that is a conundrum for Gareth Southgate and Foden to solve.

And I can't believe you think he lacks real creativity and ability to beat a defender. We see it pretty much every week for Manchester City.

I will side with your friends about Foden.
