Colts’ updated 2023 draft pick order after Nyheim Hines trade

The Indianapolis Colts made a deal during the final minutes ahead of the league’s trade deadline Tuesday, shipping off running back Nyheim Hines to the Buffalo Bills.

While the Colts received Zack Moss in the trade, they also added to their current slate of selections in the 2023 NFL draft. They now have eight selections in the upcoming draft.

It should be noted that two of the picks are conditional. So there’s a chance they wind up placing in a round above where they currently sit.

They traded their original third-round pick in order to move up to select safety Nick Cross while their current third-round pick is a conditional selection from the Washington Commanders as a part of the Carson Wentz trade during the offseason.

The conditions of the deadline trade with the Bills haven’t been reported yet but if the conditions are met, the sixth-round pick turns into a fifth-rounder.
