Colts optimistic Mo Alie-Cox will play vs. Lions

Indianapolis Colts tight end Mo Alie-Cox is one of two players listed on the final injury report with a designation as he’s questionable due to a knee injury.

The 6-foot-7 tight end will go through a pre-game workout to test the knee, but there is reportedly optimism from the team that he will be able to play on Sunday against the Detroit Lions, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Alie-Cox missed the Week 6 game against the Cincinnati Bengals after emerging from the Week 5 loss with the knee injury. There was hope the bye week would give him enough to time to heal and while it did, Alie-Cox was still listed as questionable.

If Alie-Cox can go on Sunday, the Colts will have all three of their tight ends suiting up with Jack Doyle and Trey Burton also there.

The Colts will release their inactive players list an hour and a half before game time so that’s when we will know about Alie-Cox’s status.
