Colts defeat 49ers, 30-18: Here’s how Twitter reacted
The Indianapolis Colts (3-4) rode their opportunistic defense and potent rushing attack to a 30-18 victory on Sunday night over the San Francisco 49ers (2-4) at Levi’s Stadium.
In what was a slop-fest thanks to the brutal weather conditions in Santa Clara, the Colts survived gale-force winds and torrential rain. There were plenty of mistakes but an equal amount of explosive players for the Colts in this prime-time matchup.
We’ve recapped the biggest moments from the win, listed our studs and duds and gave our takeaways from Indy’s third victory on four games. Now, it’s time to see how Twitter reacted to the Sunday night triumph on the road:

Glad the football world is realizing Carson Wentz was never washed, he was just in an unnecessarily toxic situation. #Colts #Eagles pic.twitter.com/hEa0chBqiF

I picked against the Colts tonight because I thought bad weather and bad footing would be to the 49ers advantage. Wrong😀Carson Wentz did a great job in the rain and Jonathan Taylor was outstanding. That sets up a big game for the Colts next week against the Titans.

If my counting is correct, the Colts will come out of this night tied for the NFL lead in takeaways with 16. They are actually not far off pace to reach their goal of 40, which seemed insane when they initially said it. 👀

. @cj_wentz recorded his 4th consecutive game w/ a passer rating higher than 106.0. Wentz completed a 57-yd pass to @MikePitt_Jr in the 1st Q. He has completed at least one pass of at least 50 yds in 3 consecutive games, which marks the first time he has done that in his career.

Jonathan Taylor is averaging almost 4 yards per carry this season after contact.
