Julius Randle has Kentucky among his top six schools.
He recently trimmed his list to UK, N.C. State, Texas, Florida, Kansas and Oklahoma, according to his high school's Twitter:
Randle is the No. 1 player in the Class of 2013.
He was the subject of a recent feature in USA Today about his in-home visits with multiple schools -- a story that's a bit more interesting with Randle's decision to narrow his list. North Carolina and Duke were two schools prominently featured in that article, and Randle spoke very highly of both. Neither made the final six for Randle.
Randle actually used Roy Williams' own advice to cut the Tar Heels from his list of consideration, according to USA Today. On the in-home visit, Williams encouraged Randle not to string schools along if he wasn't strongly considering them so schools could move on; apparently, Randle took that advice to heart, and now Williams and North Carolina is out of the running.
