College World Series: Lady Vols win elimination-game versus Oklahoma State

No. 4 seed Tennessee (51-9, 19-5 SEC) defeated No. 6 Oklahoma State (47-16, 10-8 Big 12), 3-1, Sunday in the Women’s College World Series at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium – OGE Energy Field in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Tennessee led, 2-0, after the third inning. Zaida Puni hit an RBI double and Rylie West had an RBI single.

The Lady Vols scored one run in the fifth inning to take a 3-0 lead after Puni scored on a throwing error when West stole second base.

Oklahoma scored one run in the sixth inning.

Lady Vols’ graduate student Ashley Rogers (20-1) pitched seven innings innings. She allowed one run, four hits and two walks, while recording four strikeouts.
