College roundup: St. Lawrence, SUNY Plattsburgh play to deadlock in men's soccer

Oct. 26—PLATTSBURGH — John Hayes scored his second goal of the game to even the score for SUNY Plattsburgh in a 2-2 nonconference men's soccer tie with St. Lawrence University on Wednesday.

St. Lawrence (7-4-4) held a 2-1 lead going into halftime after first-half goals from Max Mogul and Sam Pijpers.

Hayes, who scored his first goal in the 20th minute for the Cardinals, evened the game at 74:34.

Henry Brown assisted on both Saints goals. George Charalambous made seven saves in goal for SLU. Teddy Healy saved four shots for Plattsburgh (7-3-6).



Alyssa Adams paced SUNY Potsdam with 12 kills, 12 digs and two blocks in a 25-13, 25-18, 25-18 sweep of SUNY Canton in a nonconference match in Potsdam.

Megan Henry supplied eight kills and eight digs for Potsdam (6-16). Setter Sophia Layer totaled 23 assists and seven digs.

Sarah Balcom led SUNY Canton (5-19) with eight kills and eight digs. Alexis Marshall and Hannah Lombardi each recorded five kills and Lombardi added three blocks.
