Here we go with the College Hoops DFS evening slate for the First Round NCAA Tournament games starting at 6:25 ET on Saturday. There are eight games listed within that, and here are the lines:

Grand Canyon vs. Iowa (-14) / Total: 144.5

Maryland vs. UConn (-3) / Total: 129.5

Ohio vs. Virginia (-7) / Total: 130.5

Missouri vs. Oklahoma (+1) / Total: 139.5

Norfolk State vs. Gonzaga (-33) / Total: 154

UCLA vs. BYU (-3.5) / Total: 139

Ab-Chrisitan vs. Texas (-8.5) / Total: 139.5

VCU vs. Oregon (-5.5) / Total: 137.5

With that, let’s get to the daily fantasy analysis!

Alex Barcello - BYU - FD: $6,400 - DK: $7,200

This is a nice matchup for Barcello and BYU, as they’ll face a UCLA team that ranks 204th in defensive efficiency. Barcello is known for his scoring-upside, and he’s a candidate for a handful of assists and rebounds as well. The price isn’t overwhelming considering the friendly matchup, which has me leaning on Barcello as a “core” play.

Elijah Harkless - Oklahoma - FD: $5,500 - DK: $6,800

Austin Reaves is the top player for Oklahoma, but Harkless has actually outproduced him with 38 and 31 fantasy points respectively over the past two games. De’Vion Harmon, OU’s second-leading scorer, will not play in this game, so Harkless could pick up some extra slack. It goes without saying that the salary is much friendlier on FanDuel, but keep an eye on Harkless over on DK as well.

Alondes Williams - Oklahoma - FD: $3,800 - DK: $3,800

As mentioned in the previous write-up, Harmon is out for the Sooners today. Williams and Umoja Gibson will look to step up in his absence. Williams is cheaper on both sites, creating a nice value opportunity in DFS. The last time Williams saw significant minutes (29 vs. Texas on Mar. 4), he came through with 21 fantasy points. That’s a reasonable expectation tonight.

Also Consider: Trey Murphy, Dru Smith, Umoja Gibson (value)

Jay Huff - Virginia - FD: $7,400 - DK: $7,900

The CBB DFS Optimizer likes Jay Huff, and it’s not hard to find out why. Virginia will take on an Ohio team that likes to play somewhat fast (92nd in pace) with an iffy defense (205th in defensive efficiency). That puts UVA guys like Huff, Murphy, and Hauser in a nice spot to deliver. While his recent production has been all over the map, Huff has reached upside of 36+ fantasy points in three of his last five. This is a great spot for him to come through once again.

Asbjorn Midtgaard - Grand Canyon - FD: $6,000 - DK: $5,300

I like Midtgaard as a cheap forward tonight, especially for only $5,300 on DraftKings. He’ll draw a tough assignment against Luke Garza and company, but the Hawkeyes aren’t exactly a defensive stalwart, ranking 167th in d-eff this season. Stepping up to take on one of the nation’s toughest teams is alarming, but Midtgaard should flirt with a double-double while blocking a few shots along the way. I don’t believe he’ll hurt your fantasy squad, and there’s legitimate upside if he stays out of foul trouble.

Kobe Brown - Missouri - FD: $5,400 - DK: $6,100

Brown is too cheap on both DFS sites. He looked great in the SEC Tournament while hitting 29+ fantasy points in both games. Brown could keep it going against a lackluster Oklahoma defense that ranks 102nd in d-eff and 170th in rebound rate. This is a classic case of a player trending upward while his salary lags behind. Go ahead and look towards him through all formats tonight.

Also Consider: Luke Garza, Matt Haarms, Jericho Sims (underpriced on FD
