Cole Kmet’s quarterback to attend Notre Dame-Ohio State opener

We’re under a week away from No. 5 Notre Dame traveling to the Horseshoe in Columbus, Ohio to take on No. 2 Ohio State in as big of season-opener as I can remember during my Fighting Irish fandom (early 90’s).  The stars will be out that night in Columbus as ESPN’s College Gameday will be doing their show from Ohio State’s campus that morning and plenty of stars will certainly be in attendance.

One of the big names that plans to attend is the man that is now fortunate enough to call Cole Kmet his primary tight end with the Chicago Bears, quarterback Justin Fields.  Fields is a former backup quarterback at Georgia who transferred to Ohio State before becoming a Heisman Trophy finalist with the Buckeyes and ultimately a first round pick of the Bears.

Fields says that not only will he be there but that Ohio State will win by at least 14.

Here is a fair warning to anyone who has ever met me or read my work: If Notre Dame shocks the world and upsets Ohio State I will be the most unbearable person to be around for at least all of September.
