“Big Brother” Season 19 evictee Cody Nickson recently shocked viewers when asked by host Julie Chen about his plans with Jessica Graf.
After a week or two inside the house, Cody and Jessica developed a close relationship with each other. What started off as a showmance grew into an actual relationship. They worked together throughout their stint in the house and also fought for each other against the so-called “bullies,” who they believe attacked them on a more personal level, rather than on one that was purely related to the game.
On Thursday night, Chen asked Cody what his plans are since there are only six more weeks before he will reunite with Jessica. The latter was evicted last week, so she didn’t make it to the jury house. During his interview, Cody said that he plans on proposing to his girlfriend on finale night.
But while speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Chen said that she doesn’t think Cody was serious about his plans to propose to Jessica. After all, the construction worker doesn’t want to have anything to do with the other houseguests, so he won’t be sharing that special moment with them.
During a separate interview with the same publication, Cody said that he just blacked out when Chen asked him the question about Jessica. “I keep getting asked this! Listen, I blacked out when Julie asked me that question. My heart was pounding and she caught me off guard,” he said.
But following her eviction last week, Jessica was also asked the same question, and she shared one of her plans with her boyfriend. While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the 26-year-old VIP host said that she will take Cody and his daughter, Paisley, to Disneyland.
“I can’t wait for Cody to get out of the house. It sucks that I have to wait six weeks for that to happen. I promised I would take Cody and Paisley to Disneyland, the happiest place on earth! We’ll split our time between Dallas and Los Angeles and I’m really excited about it,” she said.
“Big Brother” Season 19 airs Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT, and Thursdays at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
