Cloud9 is making the biggest roster changes in their organization’s history, swapping out three members of their 2016 Spring Split roster.
Most notably, the NA LCS squad is bringing in top laner Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong, formerly of NRG eSports, to replace An “Balls” Le.
Impact has a long history in professional League of Legends, including having the 2013 World Championship under his belt from his time on SK Telecom T1.
The trade means Cloud9 will have three imports starting, which would put them in violation of LCS rules. As a result, the organization decided to move jungler Lee “Rush” Yoon-jae to their Challenger squad and call up former longtime jungler William “Meteos” Hartman.
Also stepping onto the starting roster will be Michael “BunnyFuFuu” Kurylo, replacing Hai “Hai” Lam. The mechanically gifted support played a pair of games during the Spring Split, losing both before being left off the starting roster for the rest of the split as Hai filled the role. Hai will now be playing with Rush on the Challenger squad.
