Cleveland Browns lose edge rusher Chase Winovich to the Houston Texans

It was the acquisition last season that didn’t quite work out.

Ex-Browns defensive end Chase Winovich agreed to a contract with the Houston Texans Monday, according to reports.

The Browns acquired Winovich in a trade a year ago, but the former Michigan Wolverine struggled to get on the field. He suffered a hamstring injury that hampered his availability. He appeared in eight games for the Browns – starting two – and recorded 20 tackles and a sack.
