Clemson and Wisconsin lead the pack with 3 preseason AP All-American selections each

Clemson and Wisconsin get the bragging rights when it comes to the 2018 preseason AP All-American team.

The Tigers placed three players on the first team, all on the line. Offensive tackle Mitch Hyatt is a first-team selection while defensive end Clelin Ferrell and defensive tackle Christian Wilkins are first-team selections on defense for Clemson.

Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor was a first-team selection along with guard Beau Benzschawel and linebacker T.J. Edwards.

Alabama, LSU, Stanford, Washington, West Virginia and Utah each had two players selected. West Virginia QB Will Grier is the first-team quarterback while Stanford’s Bryce Love joins Taylor at running back. Utah swept the kicking positions.

The full AP All-American first team is below. Alabama led Clemson, Georgia, and Wisconsin in the preseason AP Top 25 released on Monday.
