Clayton County renters get help to stay in their homes

Inflation, supply chain issues and COVID-19 are still impacting many people across metro Atlanta.
Clayton County hosted an emergency rental assistance program event on Saturday, to help people struggling to pay rent stay in their homes.

Dozens of people came out to the Lake Spivey Recreation Center in Jonesboro.

Organizers, like Elizabeth Wilson, say all of the people there have been impacted in some way by the pandemic.
“There’s still such a great need, even now, even in the second year of the pandemic, for this relief.” Wilson said.
