Is Chris Carson currently a fantasy draft steal?

Yahoo Fantasy analyst Liz Loza looks at the Seahawk running back's fantasy draft position ahead of the 2021 season.

LIZ LOZA: Is Chris Carson being undervalued in redraft? Yes, he is every year because people are spooked by his injury history. And I get it. He's never put together a 16-game season. He's not putting together a 17-game season. Last year, he was only on the field for 12 games.

His running style frankly, that which has Pete Carroll so infatuated with him and continues to prioritize him ahead of a glut of options who are well behind him, prevents him from being super durable. But it also is what makes him so good. For example, last year, despite the fact that his carries per contest total, his volume, went down, his efficiency went way up. And he recorded a career 4.8 yards per carry.

More importantly, he continues to be a legitimate piece of this passing game, flirting with 40 catches in back-to-back seasons. He has evolved his skill set to be an every-down option. And he is a fantastic RB2 for fantasy purposes. And now when he gets hurt, at least, you know what will happen. And you can draft with a potential absence in mind.
