Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (87) celebrates a touchdown catch in the first quarter during a Week 17 NFL game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end and former Cincinnati Bearcats standout Travis Kelce celebrated his first-quarter touchdown during a 34-31 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium by gesturing and shouting "U-C" in the end zone as a tribute to his alma mater.

Kelce, who finished Sunday's game with five catches for 25 yards, was in attendance at AT&T Stadium for UC's Cotton Bowl loss to Alabama last week.

Kelce did the same to celebrate a game-winning touchdown in overtime last month that capped a career-best 191-yard effort against the Los Angeles Chargers for the six-time Pro Bowler.

Social media reactions:

Last month, former Bearcats standouts celebrated the Philadelphia Eagles' recent Walter Payton Man of the Year nomination for Kelce's brother, Jason.

Jason Kelce narrated Cincinnati Bearcats football's College Football Playoff semifinal preview video.
