Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes hits up F1 Miami Grand Prix after Kentucky Derby appearance

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes seems to have checked off another item on his 2023 NFL offseason bucket list.

After delivering the iconic “Riders Up!” call at the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, Mahomes is already onto his next public appearance. On Sunday, Mahomes was spotted in Miami, Florida for the Formula 1 Grand Prix, which begins at 3:30 p.m. ET around Hard Rock Stadium in South Beach. He’s been quite busy over the past few weeks with stops at the Met Gala, the 2023 NFL draft and the Kentucky Derby.

USA TODAY’s Safid Deen asked Mahomes, “Weren’t you at the Kentucky Derby yesterday?”

His response was, “I’m everywhere.”

The statement seems to be quite accurate.

Mahomes took some time to take some photos with cars and racers. He even met Red Bull Racing’s Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen, swapping some jerseys with the F1 racing stars. Though, I’m not sure that Mahomes will fit into the jersey he received in return.

With OTAs and mandatory minicamp around the corner for the Chiefs, it makes sense that Mahomes is out and about. Events are going on and he still has the opportunity to do so while the offseason program is in its infancy.
