These "Spider-Man: No Way Home" Characters In Their OG Appearance Vs. Now

Fans have been caught in a web of nostalgia ever since Spider-Man: No Way Home was released. The movie has smashed several box-office records and has already notched $1.16 billion at the box office. The movie saw the return of Tom Holland as the titular hero but also brought back a multitude of characters from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man films.

Let's take a refresher through the past movies and see what the reintroduced multi-verse characters were last doing.

Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker/Spider-Man last appeared in Spider-Man 3. In his last scene, he visits the diner where Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) works and sings, and both reconcile after remaining separated for most of the movie.

The Green Goblin (Willem Defoe) was last seen (alive) in the climax of Spider-Man where he gets impaled by the blades of his own glider and dies on the spot. He also cameos in the OG Spider-Man trilogy as a ghost that guides his son Harry down the wrong path.

The same movie also gives us one of the most iconic lines spoken by a comic book villain. It appears in the introductory scenes of Norman Osborn/Green Goblin.

Dr. Otto Octavius aka Doc Ock last appeared in Spider-Man 2. After his climactic battle with Spider-Man, he realizes his folly, and to save the city and atone for his sins, decides to sacrifice himself while destroying his experiment.

As the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home tell us, it was during his supposed last moment that Dr. Octavius was transported to another universe.

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doc Ock appears suddenly on the bridge and attacks Spider-Man before being imprisoned.

Flint Marco aka Sandman last appeared in Spider-Man 3. After the climactic battle, he apologizes to Spider-Man for his role in the death of Peter's uncle, Ben Parker. Spider-Man forgives him and Sandman flows away.

The last time fans saw Dr. Curt Connors aka the Lizard, he was holding Spider-Man from falling to his death in The Amazing Spider-Man. His Lizard form was waning and he was slowly returning to his human form.

But Connors does appear later in a mid-credits scene of The Amazing Spider-Man where he is incarcerated and a mysterious man visits him and asks him some questions.

Both, the Sandman and the Lizard are transported from their respective universes to the universe of Tom Holland's Spider-Man. While the Lizard is the first to be imprisoned by Dr. Strange, Sandman helps Spider-Man subdue Electro.

Max Dillon aka Electro was last seen battling Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. During the battle, Spider-Man causes his body to be overloaded with electricity and his body disintegrates with an explosion.

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Electro is quite reluctant when it comes to returning to his universe. He offers Spidey one of his toughest battles, and Doc Ock is needed to help defeat him.
