Check out Jayson Tatum’s highlights from impressive Summer League

If you’re looking for a guy who has stood out during Summer League, Boston’s Jayson Tatum is at the top of the list.

Before the draft NBC’s Rob Dauster said his game has some Carmelo Anthony to it — he liked to score in isolation, and he’d take and make difficult shots — and those both proved to be true as he averaged 17.7 points per game in Las Vegas. His step back jumper is impressive, and he’s a very fluid athlete. You can see why Boston was willing to trade back to get him.

You can see all that in his highlight package from the Utah and Las Vegas Summer Leagues.

How well he can hit tough shots against NBA-level defenders remains to be seen, as does his willingness to scrap and defend in his own right, but out of Summer League the Celtics had to like what they saw.
