Charlottesville Area - Top Performers (Week 5)

The Charlottesville area is prone to big-time performances, and this week was no different. Here are the top three performances from the week....

Louisa's David Sharpe - He ran the ball just four times in the Lions' 41-12 drubbing of Albemarle, but he scored touchdowns on three of them as LCHS moved to 4-0 on the year. The Lions rushed for 444 yards and look like potentially the team to beat in the area.

Charlottesville Coach Eric Sherry - He has his team rolling. After that season-opening 21-20 overtime loss to EC Glass, a game in which the Black Knights left so many points on the field, they've turned it on. Sherry and the offensive coaches have made adjustments and it has showed, averaging 47 points per game since then, putting up 57 on Orange in a ten-point win on Friday. Want to know just how in sync this offense is? They scored before the game was a minute old.

Monticello's Kevin Jarrell - A contender for some Player of the Year awards for sure, Jarrell had 112 rushing yards and two touchdowns under center for the Mustangs as they trampled Fluvanna 50-3. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes, is a fantastic dual-threat quarterback and has MHS rolling big time.
