Charlotte Tilbury has launched a lighter version of its bestselling Magic Cream, complete with SPF20.

The original Magic Cream has garnered cult beauty product status since its launch and sells one every two minutes since it launched in 2013, leading the British skincare and make-up company to release an updated version of the formula.

According to Tilbury, the product’s been a long time coming. Some 27 years in the making, to be exact.

“Darlings, there are so many people who love the instant and long term results of Magic Cream, but as the seasons change, and people’s skin changes, sometimes there’s a need for a lighter-textured moisturiser that still delivers clinically proven results in hydration, skin-smoothing and skin-defence,” Tilbury said of the launch.

“When I travelled to Asia, so many women and men told me that they adored Magic Cream for winter but needed a fluid-like moisturiser for humid conditions, sweat-inducing summer weather and oil-prone skin.

“My New! Magic Cream Light! gives you fresh, hydrated, shielded magic skin for every skin type, everywhere!”

Why we rate it

The new Magic Cream Light is a lightweight solution, and is designed to nourish and rehydrate dry skin.

It also works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by plumping the skin, while also boosting the skin’s glow.

What we love most is the formula has Urban Pollution Defence Complex, which protects the skin’s barrier against pollution and blue light.

It also contains SPF20 to protect the skin against harmful UVA and UVB rays.

How it works

The formula is laden with supercharged ingredients.

The insertion of Replexium targets any fine lines and provides a satin-smooth finish when applied on the skin, while CityStem is what responds to pollution-induced skincare concerns.

Radicare Gold is what safeguards against blue light and radiation for a youthful glow, while SPF guards against UV rays.

The Magic Cream Light also contains crambe seed oil, coconut alkanes and vitamin E, which combined provide a lightweight and conditioning moisturiser that brightens the complexion.

It doesn’t clog pores and literally glides over my face. I used one pump for my whole face and that is plenty. Great size bottle too it will no doubt last a while!
    Highly recommend.”

Ive always found it hard to find a moisturiser that doesn’t clog my pores and cause me breakouts. This moisturiser is fantastic! After using it for one week I’ve had no breakouts, it’s protected my skin from the sun rays with SPF 20. Also my fine lines are looking smoother and much less noticeable! I cannot fault this cream at all, I 100% recommend it!”
