The lineups for the UFC’s summer shows continue to build, and a featherweight bout is the latest addition to the June 26 card.

Charles Rosa (13-5 MMA, 4-5 UFC) will try to get back on track when he takes on Justin Jaynes (16-7 MMA, 1-3 UFC) on the card, MMA Junkie was told by a person with knowledge of the booking. The person requested anonymity because the UFC has not yet made a formal announcement of the matchup.

The UFC’s June 26 show does not yet have an officially announced venue or location, and no broadcast plans have been released.

After a 9-0 start to his pro career, Rosa signed with the UFC in 2014. It’s been a constant up-and-down battle for him in the promotion. The Boston-area native has alternated wins and losses throughout his nine-fight UFC run.

Of Rosa’s five UFC losses, though, three against Dennis Siver, Yair Rodriguez and Shane Burgos have picked up $50,000 “Fight of the Night” bonuses. He also has a “Performance of the Night” bonus for a submission of Manny Bermudez in 2019.

Most recently, Rosa dropped a unanimous decision to Darrick Minner in February on the heels of a split call win over Kevin Aguilar in June 2020.

Justin Jaynes vs. Devonte Smith

Jaynes is in dire need of a win. The former WXC lightweight champion came to the UFC in 2020 and picked up a 41-second knockout of Frank Camacho for a $50,000 bonus right out of the gate.

But it’s been tough sledding for the Las Vegas-based Michigan native since then. Jaynes has dropped three straight with a submission loss to Justin Tucker, a TKO loss to Gabriel Benitez and, most recently, a TKO loss to Devonte Smith in February.

With the addition, the UFC’s June 26 lineup now includes

  • Maxim Grishin vs. Ovince Saint Preux

  • Anthony Hernandez vs. Punahele Soriano

  • Tim Elliott vs. Su Mudaerji

  • Michel Prazeres vs. Shavkat Rakhmonov

  • Justin Jaynes vs. Charles Rosa
