Charles Johnson found out he’ll be a ‘girl dad’ in cage after UFC Fight Night 217 win

LAS VEGAS – Charles Johnson beat Jimmy Flick with a first-round TKO Saturday to open up the preliminary card at UFC Fight Night 217 in Las Vegas.

Take a look inside the fight with Johnson, who picked up his second straight win after a loss to Muhammad Mokaev in his UFC debut in July 2022.

“I don’t care what you’re doing, how you’re training – getting in there fighting is not the same as training and running and preparing once you get in that cage. You’ve got to get in there and feel that. … He was off, or he was just slower than me.”

“Everything I’m working for and moving toward, starting the year exactly the way we wanted to  – keeping the ball rolling. First fight of the year, first card of the year – let’s go.”

Johnson on what he wants next

“March is full of great (events). I’d love to fight in March. It’s London at the end of the (month); it’s (San Antonio), Texas’ and it’s a Fight Night here, I believe. Any of those, I’d be happy with. My lady gave me a timeline to the middle of April before I’ve got to be in Norway for this baby, so I’m pushing for March. Today, right there in the cage, (is when I found out).”
