Chargers don’t hire Bills’ Brian Daboll

Mom Brian Daboll is going to grab some KC barbecue next week and that’s it.

Daboll, the offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills, will be in Kansas City facing the Chiefs next week in the AFC Championship game. In addition, he will not be in Los Angeles in September.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Chargers are not going to hire Daboll as their next head coach. The choice is Brandon Staley, the Rams’ offensive coordinator, by the Bolts.

Daboll had interviewed for the job last week and many Bills’ faithful thought Daboll would land the job. Evidently he is not. Daboll only interviewed with the Chargers and New York Jets thus far this offseason. Both teams have since hired coaches.

Daboll could still interview for other gigs but thus far, he’ll be staying in Buffalo.
