What channel is the Bills game on? How to watch Buffalo Bills vs. Dallas Cowboys

ORCHARD PARK - As if the Buffalo Bills defense hasn’t suffered enough bad injury luck, it looks like it will be without two more core players Sunday afternoon, and with the high-flying Dallas Cowboys coming to town, that’s not ideal timing.

Coach Sean McDermott confirmed Wednesday that edge rusher A.J. Epenesa (ribs) and safety Micah Hyde (stinger) are going to be “week to week” and by saying that, it’s almost a given that neither player will be on the field against a Cowboys offense that ranks No. 1 in the NFL at 32.4 points per game including 39.7 in its last three.

“They're explosive,” McDermott said of the Cowboys who are led by quarterback Dak Prescott who has thrown 15 TDs and just one interception during Dallas’ five-game winning streak. “I think they're a very talented offense. They're hard to stop and when you do get them to third down, they're the No. 1 team in third down in the NFL so it's gonna take a heck of an effort defensively.”

The Bills have played the last two months without cornerback Tre’Davious White, defensive tackle DaQuan Jones and linebacker Matt Milano. Along the way, defensive linemen Von Miller, Greg Rousseau and Ed Oliver have all missed games, as have defensive backs Jordan Poyer, Christian Benford, Kaiir Elam, Taylor Rapp and Dane Jackson.

Now Epenesa, who is enjoying the best season of his career, and Hyde are out. It’s not ideal against a Dallas offense that is No. 1 in first downs per game (23.4) and third-down conversions (49.1%), fourth in yards (381.5), and second in passing yards (262.8).

Last week on the Sunday Night Football pregame show, Rodney Harrison said “I have to give props to Mike McCarthy. I think he’s done a wonderful job this year. He’s turned Dak Prescott into an MVP, CeeDee Lamb into an All-Pro. He’s done a great job this year.”

McDermott agreed, and he said the Bills’ defense - despite all the injuries - has to find a way to play its best game.

“You’ve got to start with ourselves and making sure that we're fundamentally strong,” he said. “In particular, we tackle well and get off blocks. It's a matchup game and they're a tough matchup because of the skill that they possess. And I think Dak is playing really well.”
