C's drop to .500 after being outworked by Wizards originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

The Boston Celtics suffered a rough loss against the Detroit Pistons on Friday night, but that paled in comparison to their Sunday afternoon defeat at the hands of the Washington Wizards.

Against the Wizards, who came into the game with the NBA's second-worst winning percentage (.261) and the team's worst defense (120.3 points per game allowed), the Celtics were awful. The team shot just 36 percent from the field in a 104-91 defeat that was, clearly, their worst performance of the season.

The only bright spots in this game for the C's were Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown. Walker had his best game of the season, scoring 25 points on 50 percent shooting and grabbing seven boards. Meanwhile, Brown also had 25 points and also logged seven rebounds.

However, every other regular member of the Celtics rotation struggled, including Jayson Tatum, who went 3-of-14 from the field for a season-low six points. Tatum struggled compared to his fellow St. Louisan, Bradley Beal, who totaled 35 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in 33 minutes of action.

Here were the highlights from Boston's loss:
