Tatum sparks Celtics in 119-115 come-from-behind win vs. Clippers originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston
The Boston Celtics once trailed by as many as 16 points against the Los Angeles Clippers. They were outplayed in the first half, allowing the Clippers to shoot over 60 percent from the field in the period, and it looked like Jaylen Brown's absence was going to sink the C's.
However, the Celtics came out in the third quarter and outscored the Clippers by 18. That put them right back in the game and they eventually pulled away in a back-and-forth fourth quarter to win 119-115. The C's comeback was led by Jayson Tatum, who continued his stellar play against the Clippers with 34 points, seven rebounds, and four steals during the game.
The C's played a lot of small-ball in the second half after Daniel Theis (knee) left the game with a knee injury. That explains why both Kemba Walker and Carsen Edwards played significant minutes, with Walker putting up 24 points in 32 minutes while Edwards scored 16 points in a career-high 30 minutes of playing time.
Here's are the highlights from the C's win:
