Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe and shooting guard Pat Connaughton won't play in Milwaukee's "seeding round" opener Friday night against Boston, head coach Mike Budenholzer said Thursday, via ESPN's Malika Andrews.
Bledsoe and Connaughton arrived late to the NBA bubble in Orlando after both testing positive for COVID-19, and neither player participated in any of the Bucks' three scrimmages.

The Bucks will need Bledsoe -- who averaged 15.4 points and 5.4 assists per game this season and is one of the NBA's best defenders -- if they want to contend for an NBA championship this summer.
Milwaukee is all but locked into the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, though, so it can afford to be cautious with players like Bledsoe and Connaughton during its eight-game "seeding" slate.
