Celtics Talk Podcast: Who Sean Grande thinks C's should target in trade originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

By now, you've likely heard several names thrown out there as potential trade targets for the Boston Celtics.

It's no secret Danny Ainge and the C's have to make some sort of move before the NBA trade deadline if they're to contend for a championship. Ainge said so himself in a recent interview, and it's become clear with Boston's continued struggles that they should put that $28.5 million traded player exception to use.

After the Celtics blew a 24-point lead to the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday, C's radio voice Sean Grande joined Chris Forsberg on a new Celtics Talk Podcast to discuss who he'd like to see them trade for.

"Harrison Barnes, to me, is the obvious, safe, least sexy choice," Grande said. "We saw the game Thaddeus Young had against the Celtics. A bigger guy, can defend multiple positions, knock down some shots. So those are the safe choices, certainly and choices that could be perfect as a fit."

Forsberg made a strong case for Barnes in a recent column, but Grande has his eyes on a young Orlando Magic forward.

"If you want my irrational guy that my eyes tell me what they tell me but my heart can't let it go, it's Aaron Gordon," Grande said. " ... My only thing about Aaron Gordon, because we see what he could be and what for the most part has been, I want to see him without [Nikola] Vucevic. I think he's a different player with him, and that's not a knock on anybody. This game is about players fitting together in some combination. I don't think Aaron Gordon with Vucevic -- there's too much replication there.

"Aaron Gordon as the small-ball five. That triggers something in the irrational side of my brain that says -- that's a sexier choice. There's more upside there and more downside than Harrison Barnes or a Thaddeus Young.
