Celtics Talk Podcast: Javonte Green on finally achieving his NBA dream

Javonte Green has gone from playing overseas to getting short stints with NBA teams to impressing after his summer league invitation with the Celtics to finally getting his chance to live his NBA dream with the C's.

He sat down with NBC Sports Boston Celtics Insider Chris Forsberg to talk about his journey in the latest edition of the Celtics Talk Podcast.

Green raved about how teammates and the organization have embraced him.

"You get in the locker room they're regular guys. Great personalities," he told Forsberg. "Not even just the players, the whole organization as well. They embrace everybody." 

Has he had that pinch-me moment where he realizes he's made it and will be sticking around the NBA? 

"I still don't think it's hit me," he said. 

While Green has impressed Celtics fans with his thunderous dunks, he told Forsberg that he's not a big dunk contest guy. 

"I overthink it," he said of being in a contest as opposed to just letting a dunk come naturally in a game. Green recalled faring poorly last year in a contest in an All-Star Game in Germany that made him reluctant to return to a contest.
