Robert Williams ruled out for Game 5 vs. Bucks originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

The Boston Celtics had to beat the Milwaukee Bucks without Robert Williams in Game 4. They'll be tasked with doing it again in Game 5.

Williams will remain sidelined with soreness in his surgically-repaired left knee, C's head coach Ime Udoka announced. Grant Williams once again will take his spot in the starting lineup.

"Swelling went down, and that's why we were hopeful for tonight," Udoka said Wednesday. "But still has some soreness and we're just going to be overly cautious. Obviously, coming off of surgery. Until it's pain-free, we'll rest him until he's ready."

Boston overcame Time Lord's absence to earn a 116-108 win over Milwaukee on Monday. Despite the victory, the C's still missed their big man. They were outrebounded 48-38 and dominated on the offensive boards, 13-4.

Grant Williams will look to bounce back after shooting just 3-for-9 from the floor with two turnovers and four fouls in Game 4. The same goes for Daniel Theis, who was 0-for-5 from the field.

With Robert Williams out, it was Al Horford who picked up the slack. The veteran big man dropped a playoff career-high 30 points (11-14 FG) with eight rebounds.

Game 5 is set for a 7 p.m. ET tip-off at TD Garden. Coverage begins on NBC Sports Boston with Pregame Live at 6 p.m.
