Jaylen doubtful, Tatum questionable to play vs. Suns originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

It looks like the Boston Celtics will once again be shorthanded when they host the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night.

Jaylen Brown was listed as doubtful for the matchup on Wednesday's injury report due to left shoulder bursitis. Brown suffered the injury during Monday night's loss to the Chicago Bulls.

Jayson Tatum was listed as questionable with a left ankle impingement. Evan Fournier (health and safety protocols) and Robert Williams (left knee soreness) again have been ruled out.

On the bright side, Kemba Walker is probable to return after missing Monday's game with a non-COVID illness.

The Celtics' six-game win streak came to an end with their 102-96 loss to the Bulls. They'll look to start a new streak Thursday night vs. the Suns, and that won't be an easy task if Brown and/or Tatum are held out. Phoenix currently holds a second-place spot in the Western Conference standings.

Tip-off for C's vs. Suns is set for 7 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Boston.
