Former Celtics G Leaguer PJ Dozier inks one-year deal with Minnesota Timberwolves

Another former member of the Boston Celtics‘ backcourt was signed to a new deal this week. ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports guard PJ Dozier signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves now that he has recovered from a torn ACL.

Dozier played for Timberwolves general manager Tim Connelly when both were with the Denver Nuggets. Denver traded the former South Carolina standout to Boston — his second stint with the Celtics — after the ACL injury last season. Boston traded the sidelined Dozier to the Orlando Magic soon after.

The Columbia native, whose uncle Terry is a cousin to famed Celtic Reggie Lewis, played for Boston on a two-way contract in 2018-19. He then signed and played for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s G League team. Dozier went undrafted in 2017.
