Celtics, 15 other 2020 NBA playoff teams get new earned edition jerseys from Nike

If ever recognition was in order for making the postseason, it was in 2019-20 when the end of the season and playoffs had to be held in a bubble hosted by Disney in its Wide World of Sports complex outside of Orlando, Florida.

The Boston Celtics were among those 16 teams who were still playing when the regular season ended, and to celebrate that, new earned edition jerseys have been designed by Nike, fresh off the press and making the rounds in the NBA media sphere.

To that end, let’s look at Boston’s jersey redesign — and how it stacks up against the other 15.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers opt for something a little less classic, while the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers keep it conservative.

While this marks a pretty radical departure for the Miami Heat, the Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers and Orlando Magic don't go too crazy.

Here, the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks also keep it close to the norm in these redesigns, but the OKC Thunder and Denver Nuggets get a little funky.

Finally, the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers have some pretty big shake-ups to their usual uniform design, with the Milwaukee Bucks and Celtics making more minor alterations.
