Carson Wentz owes his game check to kicker Jake Elliott

Carson Wentz‘s wallet is going to be a little lighter this week. No, Wentz didn’t get fined.

Instead, the Philadelphia Eagles‘ second-year quarterback owes rookie kicker Jake Elliott some money. Wentz was mic’d up for Sunday’s 27-24 win against the New York Giants and prior to Elliott’s game-winning 61-yard kick, is heard saying: “I’ll give him my game check if he makes it.”

It turned out to be a pricey kick for Wentz, who earns nearly $32K per game. The money will go a long way for Elliott, who will make $465,000 this season, according to Spotrac.
