Carson Wentz leads Eagles to touchdown in his first possession back
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz returned to practice this week, nine months after tearing his ACL and LCL in a game last December, and made his 2018 debut on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
The home crowd at Lincoln Financial Field was of course thrilled to see Wentz, and after having to wait a few minutes — the Colts got the ball to start the game — Wentz got to play.
And he didn’t disappoint: Wentz and the Eagles marched down the field, a 12-play, 79 yard possession that ended with a beautiful 13-yard touchdown pass to a wide-open Dallas Goedert.
It was the first touchdown of Goedert’s career and the first first-quarter touchdown of the season for Philadelphia.
Carson’s back. Tell a friend.
