Cardinals waive DL Josh Mauro from IR

The Arizona Cardinals had a transaction appear on the league daily wire. They have cut ties with defensive lineman Josh Mauro.

Mauro was signed on October 28 off the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad when things were dire with injuries on the defensive line. He played in three games, starting two, had a sack and five total tackles.

He himself suffered a hamstring injury in the Cardinals’ 28-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and was placed on injured reserve. He was designated for return so he could practice but never activated from injured reserve.

Now, assuming he is not claimed off waivers, he will be free to sign with another team if he wishes to.
