Cardinals’ all-time record vs. each 2023 opponent

The Arizona Cardinals will begin their season next weekend on the road against the Washington Commanders. It will be the first of 17 regular-season games that play.

Before the season begins, let’s take a look at the Cardinals’ all-time record against each team they are scheduled to face in 2023.

They have winning records against only two opponents this season.

Week 1: Washington Commanders

Commanders lead all-time series 76-47-2

The Cardinals beat them in 2020 but Washington has won two of the last three.

The all-time series dates back to 1932.

Week 2: New York Giants

Giants lead all-time series 80-46-2

The series dates back to 1926. The Cardinals have won the last four matchups and five of the last six.

Week 3: Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys lead all-time series 56-33-1

The series dates back to 1960.

The Cardinals won the first six meetings. They have also beaten the Cowboys in each of the last two matchups and in six of the last seven.

Weeks 4, 15: San Francisco 49ers

49ers lead all-time series 34-29

The series dates back to 1951.

The 49ers swept the season series last year.

They are 3-3 in their last 6 matchups but the Cardinals have won 11 of the last 16 games, dating back to 2015.

Week 5: Cincinnati Bengals

All-time series tied 6-6

They have played each other only 12 times dating back to 1973. The Cardinals won the last two meetings.

Weeks 6, 12: Los Angeles Rams

Rams lead all-time series 46-40-2

The Cardinals won their last matchup in 2022 but the Rams are 10-2 against Arizona since Sean McVay became head coach.

The Rams are also 2-0 against the Cardinals in the postseason, including the a win two postseasons ago when the Rams won the Super Bowl.

Weeks 7, 18: Seattle Seahawks

Seahawks lead all-time series 25-22-1

The series dates back to 1976.

Seattle has won the last three matchups to take the all-time series lead.

Week 8: Baltimore Ravens

Ravens lead all-time series 5-2

The series dates back only to 1997. The Ravens won the last matchup in 2019, Kyler Murray’s rookie season.

Week 9: Cleveland Browns

Browns lead all-time series 33-16-3

The Cardinals-Browns series dates back to 1960.

The Browns won the first 12 matchups and 19 of the first 21 but the Cardinals have beaten the Browns five straight times, dating back to 2007.

Week 10: Atlanta Falcons

All-time series tied 16-16

The Cardinals also are 1-0 against Atlanta in the postseason.

The Falcons have won six of the last eight games against the Cardinals.

Week 11: Houston Texans

Cardinals lead all-time series 3-2

The two teams have played only five times, the first time being in 2005.

The home team has won every single time.

They play in Houston this year.

Week 13: Pittsburgh Steelers

Steelers lead all-time series 34-23-3

The Steelers also have a Super Bowl win over the Cardinals. The series dates back to 1933.

The Steelers have won the last three regular-season meetings and the last four including the Super Bowl.

Week 16: Chicago Bears

Bears lead all-time series 57-29-6

The Cardinals beat the Bears in their last meeting in 2021.

This series dates back to 1920.

Week 17: Philadelphia Eagles

Cardinals lead all-time series 58-56-5

This series dates back to 1935. The Cardinals also are 2-1 against the Eagles in the postseason. Both beat each other in an NFL Championship.
