Cardinals GM Steve Keim also tested positive for COVID-19

The Arizona Cardinals are scheduled to take on the Cleveland Browns Sunday afternoon on the road. They are having to deal with an outbreak of COVID-19 on the team, even though they are fully vaccinated.

The latest positive test was by general manager Steve Keim, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

He will not travel with the team to Cleveland today.

The Cardinals are already down two players, as outside linebacker Chandler Jones was placed on the COVID list earlier this week and defensive tackle Zach Allen tested positive Friday.

They also will be without head coach Kliff Kingsbury and quarterbacks coach Cam Turner, both of whom also tested positive on Friday. The head-coaching duties will be split between assistant head coach/special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers and defensive coordinator Vance Joseph.

There will be one more round of testing Saturday before the team gets on the plane to go to Cleveland, so there could be more positive tests.
