Capitals, Wizards and Mystics to hold auction benefitting LGBTQ+ charity

In honor of Pride Month, Monumental Sports & Entertainment will be auctioning off various Capitals, Wizards and Mystics items to support SMYAL (Supporting and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders).

SMYAL is a nonprofit organization that works to empower LGBTQ+ youth in the Washington, D.C. area. The Capitals, Wizards and Mystics will be auctioning off nearly 30 items to benefit the organization. 

The memorabilia includes primarily Capitals items such as autographed player-used sticks and pucks wrapped in rainbow tape or signed pride-themed shirts but also features select Wizards and Mystics signed items as well:

Monumental Sports & Entertainment routinely participates in Pride Month celebrations and has raised over $80,000 for LGBTQ+ charities through past initiatives.

The auction opens Thursday at 12:00 p.m. on Handbid and closes Friday, June 26 at 3:00 p.m.
