Capitals teammates Ovechkin and Oshie involved in scary collision
Fans of the Washington Capitals were holding their breath for a few moments on Wednesday night.
In the first period of their clash with the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena, teammates Alex Ovechkin and T.J. Oshie accidentally ran into each other at a pretty good speed. While Oshie, who has a history of concussion problems, got up quickly, Ovechkin was down on the ice for a few moments and play stopped as a result.

Ovechkin, coming off a hat trick the night before against the San Jose Sharks, stayed on the bench for a couple minutes before he was forced to leave to follow the NHL’s concussion protocol.
Thankfully, he started the second period for Washington and looked to be just fine. And if anyone doubted that, he silenced them less than four minutes into the frame.
