Iconic Canadian hockey family. How many times does the name Bowman appear on the Stanley Cup? 18 times. Scotty is on 14 times, Stan is on 3 times and Steve once so far. The Cup is currently in Steve’s backyard in #ldnont And he seems to be enjoying it. Congrats Bo! #bowmancupday pic.twitter.com/IdzJx8WBPQ

The Stanley Cup recently made a trip to Gävle, Sweden the hometown of Washington’s assistant captain Nicklas Backstrom. His mother, Catrin, however, stole the show by joining the long list of people who have been vaulted face first into hockey’s greatest trophy.
This is surely the stuff that legends are made of.
The Capitals’ unprecedented summer of celebrating their Stanley Cup championship has been absolutely electric. A new standard has been set, and if any team tries to one-up it, well, quite frankly I would be extremely concerned for their well being.
