Capitals take 4 NHL Fan Choice Awards and NHL fans agree Captain is the best dog

The results are in and the NHL fans seem to really love the Capitals! The results of the NHL Fan Choice Awards came out on Friday and Washington took home four out of the five awards they were nominated for.

Captain was named the Best Team Dog with 22.0-percent of the vote easily beating out the second-place Flambo from Montreal who garnered only 16.4-percent.

Alex Ovechkin won a nail-biter over Gabriel Landeskog for GIF of the Year. Ovechkin's "Surprise Ovi" GIFearned  31.1-percent of the vote against Landeskog's 30.9-percent.

Of course, Jackson Friedlander helped the Caps win the Top Team Video with his epic Mite of the Nite interview.

Another easy win was the 2020 Best Pregame Ritual. Of course the butt tap won as it should every year as long as Oshie and Tom Wilson keep up the tradition.

The only category the Caps were nominated for and lost was the 2020 Best Bromance. Jakub Vrana and T.J. Oshie earned 31.0-percent of the vote, but lost to Artemi Panarin and Sergei Bobrovsky who had 35.4-percent.
