Cam Newton mania: Twitter reacts to Patriots’ Week 1 win against Dolphins
The New England Patriots pulled away with a 21-11 win over the Miami Dolphins in the season opener.
Cam Newton was the story of the game, recording 75 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, along with 155 passing yards. New England came out with a rush-heavy attack and it led to the Patriots winning the time of possession battle with 34:49 minutes to 25:11.
The defense had an impressive outing and Bill Belichick put together the right pieces for a winning football team. But, once again, Newton was the story of the game and he was the perfect replacement for Tom Brady.
