Thursday was picture day for the Calgary Flames as they prepare for the NHL to restart its season following a four-month break caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Flames set up a couple rows of benches on the ice, sat side by side, and looked toward the camera for the picture. Only one thing was out of the ordinary.
Every player, coach and executive wore a mask for the photo, encapsulating just how different 2020 has been while also ensuring everyone was protected while briefly breaking social-distancing guidelines in order to sit next to each other.
The NHL restart begins Saturday, with five games going including the Flames taking on the Winnipeg Jets in a Western Conference qualifier.
