Calais Campbell now knows what much of the NFL has known for the last year: Lamar Jackson is special.
Acquired in the offseason by the Ravens in exchange for a fifth-round pick, the veteran defensive lineman must have seen highlights of Jackson tormenting NFL defenses. But this week, he experienced Jackson's speed up close for the first time.
Unsurprisingly, he was blown away.

"He's been studying tape," Campbell tells one of the coaches before calling over the Ravens' quarterback.
Campbell just keeps shaking his head in awe.
"Boy, you fast as hell," he excitedly told Jackson. "Normally I'm going to get somebody, but you had a different gear."
As he explains to Jackson, Campbell has experience chasing down speedy, elusive quarterbacks. He's even chased down Michael Vick before, a player Jackson's mobility is often compared to, but admits he was a little younger at the time.
Ravens fans spent all of 2019 seeing the body language of players witnessing Lamar Jackson for the first time. Now, we have the audio to pair with it.
