Buzz Williams speaks ahead of Texas A&M vs. Missouri

Texas A&M (13-8, 4-4 SEC) will be back on the road to take on the Missouri Tigers (8-14, 0-9 SEC) on Wednesday at 8:00 PM CST.

After a home stand where they went 2-1, the Aggies started off with a 63-57 win over the Missouri Tigers. A&M will now have the opportunity to finally go over .500 for the first time since entering SEC play. On paper, this should be a win for the Aggies but I’ve yet to be convinced they will beat the teams they are supposed to beat on a consistent basis. Even if they already beat them under a month ago.

A big part of Texas A&M’s ability to stay in these games is that they limit the turnovers and are among the best in the country at protecting the ball. Head coach Buzz Williams touched on this during this weekly press conference.

“I think our guys have been really good at listening to the staff in regards to how important turnover rate is, how important offensive rebound percentage is, how important free throw rate is, and how all of that ties into helping overcome where we’re struggling offensively”
