Goldman Sachs has taken notice of the wave of capital investment in sports worldwide.
That’s one of the reasons the banking giant decided to form a global sports franchise division this year as it looks to create more value and offer investment opportunities to its high-net worth clients. The Sports Franchise in Investment Banking division is headed by Goldman executives Dave Dase and Greg Carey.

As demand for sports-related properties grows, Dase and Carey are tag-teaming leading the new division, which aims to create solutions for interested clients. Dase is also head of Southeast Region of Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division, and Carey is chairman of the Public Sector and Infrastructure Group.
Dase and Carey joined Business Beyond the Game to discuss growth areas in the sports industry, the future of stadium financing and the best business lessons they’ve learned during their career.
